On May 11, sources from China Jilin Net and Jike News confirmed that Yangshipin, the national 5G new media platform under China Central Television (CCTV), will broadcast all 34 matches of the 2026 Northeast Super League (NESL) live. Selected key games will also be aired on the CCTV News app, CCTV5, or CCTV5+. This marks the first time a grass-roots football league involving teams from four northeastern provinces has received full-season live coverage from a national platform.
According to the event organizing committee, eight teams – from Hohhot, Yanbian, Shenyang, Jixi, Changchun, Tongliao, Harbin, and Dalian – will compete this season. All players are local amateurs, making the league a celebration of “home-field passion.”
The opening matches are set for Saturday, May 23, at 20:00, with four games kicking off simultaneously:
