The 2026 Formula 1 season roared back to life with the first practice session at the Miami Grand Prix. Teams arrived with a variety of upgrade packages, and it was Charles Leclerc who set the pace, clocking a fastest lap of 1:29.310.
Ferrari led the upgrade charge with 11 new components for this round, followed by Red Bull and McLaren. In contrast, Mercedes brought only two upgrades, failing to break into the top three.
Although Aston Martin did not introduce any aerodynamic updates, they are believed to have focused heavily on improving power unit reliability and reducing weight during the short break.
