Krasnodar head coach Murad Musaev addressed the depth of his squad following the team’s 1-2 defeat against Dynamo Moscow in the 29th round of the 2025/2026 Russian Premier League.
Dynamo Moscow mounted a comeback victory in the match. Krasnodar took the lead through Costa in the 32nd minute, but Dynamo’s Tyukavin equalized in the 48th minute. Sergeev then secured the win with a goal in stoppage time (90+3′).
“I don’t want to air internal issues regarding the numerical strength of the lineup. I hope we will make moves to strengthen the squad next season. We had enough players. We were at the top all spring, then we slip once — and suddenly there aren’t enough? That’s not how it works,” Musaev stated, as quoted by Championat correspondent Andrey Pankov.
Currently, Dynamo Moscow sit eighth in the standings with 42 points, while Krasnodar hold second place with 63 points. Zenit St. Petersburg lead the table with 65 points. Musaev’s remarks suggest he acknowledges the need for future reinforcements, but remains confident in the current squad’s capabilities despite the setback.
