Brazilian striker Rayan, formerly of Vasco da Gama, has etched his name into Premier League history, surpassing a record previously held by Gabriel Jesus. In Bournemouth’s narrow 1-0 victory over Fulham last Saturday, the 19-year-old found the net, becoming the youngest South American player to score in three consecutive matches in England’s top flight.
Rayan achieved this feat at 19 years and nine months, eclipsing the mark set by ex-Palmeiras star Gabriel Jesus, who scored against Leicester, West Brom, and Watford for Manchester City in 2017 at 20 years and one month.
Since arriving in England, Rayan has delivered consistent performances, tallying five goals and two assists in just 13 appearances. His rapid rise has propelled Bournemouth from 13th to sixth place in the Premier League standings, with 55 points. The club now sets its sights on overtaking Aston Villa, who sit four points ahead, to secure an unprecedented spot in the Champions League group stage.
